Towards zero emissions

At the Global Maritime Environmental Congress (gmec), early adopters provided insights into their experiences with alternative fuels and discussed how decarbonization can be accelerated. Methanol is seen as a booster here - but can it become established in the industry? This was the subject of a separate session.

Other questions on the gmec 2024 agenda: Does LNG have a future? Does the industry actually practice ESG? How sustainable will ship recycling be after the Hong Kong Convention comes into force?
